EARLY SCENT INTRO & EARLY NEUROLOGICAL STIMULATION

ENS - Puppies are exposed to a different scent every day from 3 days old to day 16. Some scents used are garlic, rosemary, soil, foods, etc...
Benefits:
Nose awareness and confidence! Great for hunting, tracking, and diabetic alert dogs, just to name a few.

ENS - 5 exercised that are performed for 3-5 seconds, from 3 days old to 16 days.
1. Tactical stimulation(between toes)
2. Head held erect
3. Supine position
4. Thermal stimulation
Benefits:
1. Improved cardiovascular performance(heart rate)
2. Stronger heart beats
3. Stronger adrenal glands
4. More tolerance to stress
5. Greater resistance to disease
NOVELTY ITEMS & CURRICULUM EXPOSURE ACTIVITES
Novelty: Week 3 until go home day
Curriculum: Week 3 until go home day
NOVELTY ITEMS - Puppies are exposed to Pillows, buckets, apples, wood, plants, stuffed animals, balls, boots, different fabrics, etc...
CURRICULUM EXPOSURE - Puppies are exposed to Blocks, tactile boards, balance boards, tunnel, water bottles, ball pit, snuffle mats, reflective items, brain games, water exposure, slide, etc...
HANDLING EXERCISES & NOISE EXPOSURE
Handling: Day 16 until go home day
Sound: Birth until go home day
HANDLING: We rub their ears & their body, cover eyes, touch all paws, nose & the inside of their mouth, tug their ears & tail, etc... Handling starts off very gentle and gradually increase pressure as they get older.
SOUND - Classical music is playing 24/7 and when they're about 5 weeks old, we start playing different genres of music along with youtube videos of fireworks, trains, city life, country life, cars, dogs barking, doorbell, babies crying(least favorite), loud footsteps, etc...
